Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.
The best test preparation practice, to me, consists of a couple of things. First of all, it is to read the material in advance, preferably two weeks before the test. This will give me a sense of familiarity with the subject and it will make me feel more comfortable with the subject. Secondly, I take notes from my reading. However, I do not just take notes of everything, only on topics that are harder for me to remember. Then, I would study through my notes in order to memorize the topics I find more difficult. Lastly, in the night before my test and minutes before, I just read through my notes in order to activate my short term memory. I cannot finish this essay without saying that reading the material out loud and repeating it can be very helpful. So far this method that I developed has worked well. My GPA is above 3.5 I am pretty happy with it. Just remember that just because this works for me, it does not necessarily mean that it will work for everyone. Each person is singular and even though general guidance on how to study is valid, every person should learn which way of learning works better for them.
