Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.

Test preparation is key to making the best grades that you possibly can and I have great practices when trying to prepare. The first thing I do is take the extra time throughout the semester to stay organized and color code everything so as to stay on top of my studies. This does not have to take up much of your time; moreover, it can save you time by managing your day-to-day tasks and streamlining your notes. Next, I study the material between test takings not just the night before a big exam. This will help you better retain the information and keep the material fresh in you mind. Thirdly, I like to make colorful flash cards to help retain information by first making the cards and then studying with them. Being a visual learner, the more colorful I can make my notes, flash cards, and other study materials, the better my intake of the information is. I strongly suggest everyone to take a learning styles test to find out what type of learner you are in order to enhance your studying style. These test are quick and simple and can be found on multiple websites for free. Lastly, I like to create and take practice test to prepare myself for the actual exam; however, this can be a little more time consuming than some people would like. Nonetheless, if you like to study in a group it's a great way to combine key elements that everyone in your group my be struggling with. These practices are significant for me because I have found that in order to do well on a test I need to stay on top of things, stay organized, and stay focused on my studies; furthermore, these test preparation practices are simple for everyone to do and make studying worth your time, energy and increase your ability to do you very best. Test readiness is a key factor in doing well on any exam and with practicing good study skills I can achieve my goal of graduating with honors. Remember to stop, take a breath, and then just do your best.
