Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.
I am a very visual learner and when I study for a test I do a variety of things. I typically make flashcards and group the flashcards by subjects that relate to each other. I then go a little further and color coordinate the subjects. I then pin them up on my board as I master each card. So when I see it on the test I usually associate the subject with that color. For example, when I was studying anatomy and physiology I would start with a base at the beginning of the semester. I had the different systems of the body sorted into color groups. I would then add on more flashcards with the physiology aspects in the associated color group as the semester went along. During the midterm and final I would grab those flashcards and pin them up on the board in the shape of a body as I mastered each flashcard. When test day finally came I would remember my pin board. I have had study parties with my classmates and I have suggested my method to some of them. Some love it, and some think it's to much work. I feel putting the amount of effort into making studying fun and interactive for me has paid off.
