Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.
The other test preparation practice that I prefer is practicing old exams. It entails making a collection of old version of the previous exams on the same subject and revising the answers. The purpose of this practice is for the student to understand and familiarize oneself with the format and formulation of the test questions. In addition to helping the student to know the kind of questions to expect in a test, practicing old versions of a test is a tool to measure time that one will need to complete an exam. If I expect my test to comprise 50 questions, and I have 2 hours to complete it, taking a previous exam will help me determine the amount of time I need to complete the test without panicking. This practice works so well for me because when I enter the exam room, the questions does not surprise me because I already know the format of the questions.
Lastly, planning the day for my test is my other favorite test preparation practice. This involves reviewing the requirements and rules for the test, and planning for the time to arrive at the venue for the test. Personally, I want to be in the test venue a few minutes before kick-off time. It allows me to take some time to familiarize myself with the place and eliminate anxiety. This practice works so well for me because it helps me to understand the regulations of the test and to be in the venue at the right time.
