Knowing different learning styles is essential for test preparation. One of the learning styles I always use is called DBT. DBT also know as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy focuses on learning strategies to cope with everyday life. DBT learning strategies entail being in the present moment, being mindful of feelings and using actions to improve a situation. You may ask yourself "What does this have to do with test preparation?". Learning how to cope, manage and balance everyday life will in turn help provide the right foundation and mindset for a student to be able to effectively prepare for a test.
