Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.

Testing is something I have always had a love/hate relationship with. There is nothing more frustrating than putting in hours of studying just to end up with an unwanted grade. Now being an incoming junior in college, I have acquired many tips and tricks to improve my studying. My most beneficial testing practice has to be re writing my notes. Yikes. I did just say the last thing anyone wants to hear. I have found that rewriting your notes at least once, twice if you are dedicated allows you to absorb the information well enough that other studying methods such as tangible/online flashcards, practice tests, etc., are truly beneficial. The way I discovered this was my senior year of high school while studying for the beloved AP Psychology exam. I was utilizing all kinds of studying methods, however I had not fully absorbed the material in its entirety, so the studying methods were not as beneficial. In a world where having a computer in class is more common than having a pencil, taking the time to write those notes down from your screen is quite valuable and can take ones studying to the next level.
