Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.

Reading my materials and doing plenty of examples is the best way that I memorize information for my tests. When studying for history or english, or any other subject that you mostly need to memorize information for, reading over the material starting a few days before your test is a great way to prepare. I have been doing this since I was nine and it has always been effective, especially when starting the review a few days before my test so I don’t have to cram. For math and science tests, the most effective way to study is by doing practice problems and tests. This technique proved very handy last year when I was preparing for my AP Chemistry exam. I did an old AP practice exam every day for a month until I knew I was ready to take the test, and it worked because I got a 5 on the exam! This year I’m doing the same exact thing for my AP Calculus exam, and so far, I feel very prepared. Of course this technique is not limited to just AP exams, and I have used it to study for other tests, especially last year when I was taking trigonometry and it was hard for me to remember everything.
