Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.

First I look to see if my professor has provided a study guide for the exam. If they have, I take note of the topics listed devote most of my study time to those. If not, I move on to the next phase, which is going into each chapter and reading the chapter summary/key points. Then, I look at the vocabulary words from each chapter, write down their definitions and read their section in the chapter.
This technique has served me very well because I am familiarizing myself with the key points of the course. If a more specific question is answered, I am familiar enough with the text that I can find the section it's located in fairly quickly.
