Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.
There are many methods of studying, but most students always have a favorite. My personal favorite is using flashcards. They are functional and easily transportable and can be used in many different ways. For example, flashcards can be used to memorize important vocabulary terms and definitions, you can use them to learn the order of a process, and you can even use them to write notes on ideas within a subject, almost like a miniature notebook. When I am studying for a test, I love to take a big stack of notecards, my textbook, and my notes from the topic and spend an hour or two writing down the most important information on those notecards. I am a kinesthetic and visual learner, so I always make sure to have some sort of color-coding system in place when it comes time to study. I usually make the cards at least 3 days prior to the test in question, and I carry the cards around with me and study with them during any spare moment I have. This method is successful for me and has been a crucial part in not only memorizing the information but synthesizing and retaining it.
