Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.
my test preparation is a little different in comparison to most people but I find it helps me get all of my anxiety about the test out of my system. I start usually a week before a test to prepare and make I don't have any questions of a teacher. I go to the library because if I study at home I will get very distracted and get nothing done. I stay for around 6 hours each time because I don't want to get overloaded and stressed. I have a reward system that I do to encourage getting more done. what I do is for every few pages read or written down ill eat a small snack or I treat it like a game to get better. I also do the Pomodoro sequence where I study for 25 minutes and rest for 5 minutes. I do this about 4 times and then I take a 20-minute break. I do this for the week leading up until the test except on the second to last day of studying I like to also drink for the night to be able to let loose and make a trivia game of what I've learned and I play with some friends taking the same class. we just call it drunk jeopardy and it's really nice time. the day before the test I mainly just relax and only study for about 2 hours and allow myself to be comfortable and confident in my skills. These methods may seem unorthodox but it helped me greatly feel no anxiety about test-taking.
