Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.
I have a method of test preparation that works for me. I found this method by accident when I was in 6th grade and it has not failed me yet. I retain the information and it is not temporary knowledge. I will remember parts of the material for a long time after the test. Here is what I do: when an assignment is given, I take my time and read through the material. The second time I read it, I very carefully highlight the important information. Additionally, I read out loud. I have found that seeing and hearing the words, help me recall them quicker. The next time I read the material, I read out loud and take notes about anything I am struggling to retain. The process of seeing, saying, hearing and writing cements the information in my brain. The night before the test, I go to bed early, get up about 1:30 am, study for 30 or 40 minutes, and go back to sleep. Doing that quick study when my mind is fresh and clear, helps me retain more information and I am ready for the test in the morning. These are the test preparation practices that work for me.
