Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.

The best thing I ever learn to do when studying for a test is take a break. I used to try to prepare by pulling all nighters, cancelling plans and cramming the day before a big exam. This strategy was usually pretty ineffective, it didn’t seem to matter much if I studied hard the day before or not, and leaving everything until the last minute like this, gave me a lot of unnecessary stress. My new strategy is to do a little at a time each day until the big test, and most importantly take the day before off. I’ve found that when I use the day before to relax and destress as opposed to worrying, I feel much more prepared and confident in myself when the time for the test actually comes.
