Oh no! I have an upcoming test and I need to study! As a current engineering student, it is a very difficult process for me to mentally get ready for such a big exam. In order for me to prepare, the first I have to do is find a great studying space. Since I've been in quarantine, all of my college courses have gone online. I needed to purchase a desk and office chair in order for me to focus on stay on track. Other methods such as bean bags and comfy lounging places are also a good way to relax and relieve any stress from your class. Second, you must set up a method of practice. Using sites such as Quizlet and Kahoot to learn will allow one to comprehend the material a lot better. In addition, using flash cards and creating fun phrases while learning really benefits in the long run. It has been proven that melodies to learn are what students remember the most! In addition to preparing, try to get in study groups! The more brains there are, the more you can communicate and debate in discussion. When you study alone, you can personally look at what you do not understand and then ask questions to another individual. Furthermore, snacks are a must! From gummies to chips, you can use it as a reward system for getting an answer correct. Or in most cases, simply enjoy it as a guilty pleasure. My favorite treats are rocky road ice cream, fruits and veggies, and a really good smoothie that I make at home. Either way, having some type of food on your stomach can put your mind at ease. Although these methods work on myself, everyone is different in how they study. While I may prefer to work with others after I completed my work, some may prefer to get a tutor or isolate themselves completely. As a word of advice to my reader, you should do what best benefits your education.
