The Test of Essential Academic Skills, TEAS® Test, is a standard preadmission exam for those who are wishing to attend nursing school and is used in many nursing programs around the country. The TEAS® test is an aptitude test that is designed to identify students who would be successful in nursing school and who have the ability to think like a nurse. Individuals who take the TEAS® exam will be tested based on their reading, math, science, and English skills. While there is no passing score for the TEAS® test, test-takers should aim to achieve a high score. To do this, we have compiled this free TEAS® test prep course to help you maximize your score!
TEAS® Math Course
The TEAS® Math section contains a total of 30 questions with four sub-content areas that include Numbers and Operations, Algebraic Applications, Data Interpretation, and Measurement. You’ll have about 50 minutes to complete these questions.
TEAS® Science Course
The TEAS® Science section has a total of 48 questions and within four sub-content areas; Human Body Science, Life Science, Earth and Physical Science, and Scientific Reasoning. You’ll have about an hour to complete the questions for this portion of the test.
TEAS® Reading Course
The Reading section of the TEAS® exam contains a total of 42 questions within two sub-content areas which includes Paragraph and Passage Comprehension, and Informational Source Comprehension. For the reading section, you’ll be given close to an hour to complete the questions.
TEAS® English Course
The English and Language Usage contains 30 questions and three sub-content areas that includes Grammar and Word Meanings in Context, Spelling and Punctuation, and Structure. You’ll have close to 30 minutes to answer the questions for this section.
