The whole point of conducting an experiment is to find out if you can confirm the hypothesis (so that&#8217;s why that&#8217;s so important).<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;re going to find out that information in the results of an <strong>experiment<\/strong>. Now after giving the data from the experiment, the scientists may offer some speculative reasons for the results of the experiment, so you as a reader need to look out for two things.<\/p>\n<p>First thing you need to look out for is <strong>obvious flaws<\/strong>, (you need to be looking out for obvious flaws in the experiment) because if the experiment has obvious flaws then you cannot trust that the hypothesis has been confirmed, or not confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>Then you also want to look out for <strong>extra external influences<\/strong>. In order to be effective, a scientific experiment should isolate the problem with which it is concerned, and so it should eliminate any extra external influences (so if those are there, then it&#8217;s just confusing the whole process of analysis).
