<\/span>What Is the Purpose of the LSAT?<\/h2>\n

The Law School Admissions Test is skills-based and assesses the critical reading and analytical thinking skills one must have in order to succeed in law school.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t

<\/span>When Is the Best Time for Me to Take the LSAT?<\/h2>\n

This depends entirely on you. Some people may choose to take a year off to study and prepare for the LSAT, while some choose to apply to law school the fall after graduating.<\/p>\n

If you plan on going to law school after you graduate college, you will want to take the LSAT no later than June or October before the start of your senior year. The benefits of taking the LSAT during this time is that you will be one of the early applicants.<\/p>\n

Taking the LSAT in June also means registering for it in April.<\/p>\n

If you are taking the LSAT in October of your senior year, you will need to register by late August. For the December LSAT, you will want to register in early November.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Spring of Junior Year vs. the Fall of Senior Year<\/h3>\n

Taking the LSAT in the spring gives you the opportunity of taking the exam again in the Fall if you are not satisfied with your score.<\/p>\n

Keep in mind that this option means that you will need to study for the LSAT at the same time you should be focusing on your classes. This can be hard on both full-time and part-time college students.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re planning to take the LSAT in the fall, you will have the summer to study for it. However, taking the exam in the Fall means that your scores, along with your application will be submitted later.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t
