Reading Comprehension (28 questions)<\/h3>\n<p>The questions in this subarea assess your knowledge and skills pertaining to the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The nature, development, and relevancy of reading in all content areas<\/li>\n<li>Using various materials to plan appropriate reading instruction<\/li>\n<li>Teaching and assessing word identification skills and vocabulary development<\/li>\n<li>Using oral language to help students develop reading skills and reading comprehension<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span id=\"2_Reading_Literary_and_Informational_Texts_(22_questions)\" class=\"m-toc-anchor\"><\/span>2. Once your account has been created, log in and select the English Language Arts (207) exam. From there, you can register for the exam, pay the $110 testing fee, and schedule your testing appointment.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"pt-page\"><span id=\"Test_Day\" class=\"m-toc-anchor\"><\/span>Test Day<\/h2>\n<p>You should arrive about 30 minutes early to the testing center on test day. After you arrive, you will be asked to sign in and provide two valid forms of government-issued ID.<\/p>\n<p>After the check-in process, you will be asked to place all personal items (cell phone, keys, wallet, accessories, etc.) in a locker outside the testing room, or you may be asked to leave them in your car.<\/p>\n<p>Once the test begins, you will be allowed to take breaks. However, the timer will not be stopped during your break, so use your break time carefully.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"pt-page\"><span id=\"How_the_Exam_is_Scored\" class=\"m-toc-anchor\"><\/span>How the Exam is Scored<\/h2>\n<p>Your ILTS English Language Arts score is determined by taking your raw score (the number of questions you answered correctly) and converting it to a scaled score from 100 to 300.
