<\/span>ILTS School Counselor Exam Outline<\/h2>\nThe ILTS School Counselor exam contains 100 multiple-choice questions, and you will be given a time limit of 3 hours and 15 minutes.<\/p>\n

- The developmental school counseling curriculum<\/li>\n

- Principles, strategies, and processes for group counseling in the educational setting<\/li>\n
- Crisis prevention and intervention for students, families, and communities<\/li>\n

- Research methods and program evaluation related to the school counseling program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

\n- History, philosophy, issues, and trends pertaining to school counseling<\/li>\n
- Educational systems and organizations<\/li>\n
- Techniques for providing systems support<\/li>\n

Once your account has been created, log in and select the School Counselor (235) exam. From there, you can register for the exam, pay the $110 testing fee, and schedule your testing appointment.<\/p>\n
<\/span>Test Day<\/h2>\nYou should arrive about 30 minutes early to the testing center on test day to allow time for the check-in process. When you arrive, you will be asked to sign in and provide two valid forms of government-issued ID.<\/p>\n
You will then be asked to place all personal items in a locker outside the testing room, or you may be asked to leave them in your car.<\/p>\n
Once the test begins, you will be allowed to take breaks. However, the timer will not be stopped during your break, so use your break time carefully.<\/p>\n
