<\/span>Exam Outline <\/h2>\nThe TExES English Language Arts and Reading 7-12 exam contains 90 multiple-choice questions and one constructed-response question, and you will have a time limit of 4 hours and 45 minutes.<\/p>\n

Once your account has been created, you can use it to register for the exam and schedule an exam date. When you register, you will need to pay the $136 examination fee.<\/p>\n
<\/span>Test Day<\/h2>\nOn the day of your examination appointment, you should arrive at the testing center 15-30 minutes early. After you arrive, you will be asked to sign in and provide at least one form of valid photo ID. If your ID is invalid, you will not be permitted to take the exam that day and your exam fees will be forfeited.<\/p>\n
After the check-in process is complete, you will be asked to leave all personal items, such as your cell phone, watch, wallet, and keys, in a locker outside the testing area.<\/p>\n
Once you enter the testing room, you will be given a brief tutorial on the computer-adaptive testing system. Once the tutorial is complete, the exam will begin.<\/p>\n
You are allowed to take a restroom break during the exam, but the timer will not be paused while you are away.<\/p>\n
