Susan B. Anthony, Robert La Follette, and W.E.B. DuBois | Leaders of Reform<\/h1>\n

This video gives a summary and overview of the lives of Susan B. Anthony, Robert La Follette, and W.E. B. DuBois. Each of these people were leaders of reform. They helped change American cultural norms. Susan B. Anthony lead reform of women\u2019s rights. She helped promote positive change in women being allowed to vote, to better pay and ownership of property, and labor organization. She also helped with the abolition of slavery and passage of the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments to our constitution. Robert La Follette, as governor of Wisconsin, helped regulate railroads, taxed corporations to help pay off state debt, and increased funding for public education. W.E.B. DuBois edited \u201cThe Crisis\u201d, the primary publication of the NAACP, which he helped found. He is also known for doing the first case study of African Americans in the U.S., called \u201cThe Philadelphia Negro: A Social Study\u201d. He was also the first African American to earn a doctorate from Harvard University.<\/p>\n
