At normal room temperature, the physical state is going to be that of a liquid, and it&#8217;s going to be a colorless liquid. When it comes to odor, the lower members of the alcohol group are going to have a fruity smell.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s just the fact that the lower members of the alcohol group have a characteristic fruity smell. When it comes to density, alcohols aren&#8217;t lighter than water, and alcohols such as methanol and ethanol are completely soluble in water. On the other hand, the longer chain members of the alcohol group tend to be less soluble in water.<\/p>\n<p>When it comes to acidic nature, alcohols are neutral liquids. They have no effect on litmus or other acidity test. Finally, conductivity.
