How to Find the Average Rate of Change of a Function

Three functions concerning the equations of motion are the position function, velocity function, and the acceleration function. The velocity function is the rate of change function for the position function, and the acceleration function is the rate of change function for the velocity function. A rate of change function tells you at any point on the same scale the rate at which the original function is changing.
