It’s important to note that the NYSTCE Secondary Assessment of Teaching Skills-Written Exam is not acceptable for any other New York State Teacher Certification. You should only take this test if you have received a failing score on the edTPA and you will be using a passing score on the ATS–W in lieu of a passing score on the edTPA under the edTPA safety net.
