NCLEX Review: Wound Infection

Every nurse is sure to encounter caring for a patient with a wound. Wounds can be classified in two ways, open or closed. As we cover wounds throughout this short NCLEX exam review video, we will explore these classifications further by looking at the five different types of open wounds. We will also take a look at concepts you will need to understand for the NCLEX test, including: when the risks for infection are increased, signs and symptoms of infection, complications from a wound infection, how to prevent wound infections and how to treat them.
