As you prepare for your upcoming NCLEX test, watch this refresher video of mnemonics on the anatomy and physiology of the heart. We will start the NCLEX exam video with a review of the heart’s anatomy before starting our discussion of: the heart sounds heard with a stethoscope, how blood flows through the heart valves, how to listen to the heart by using five systematic locations on the anterior chest wall, the acronym “APETM” for these five locations, 5 lead EKG placement, what heart murmurs are and their causes, and an explanation of each of the three degrees of AV heart blocks.
